The wind blew from the east, and the clouds threatened to begin their downpour at any second. The brightness from the moon shone through these clouds, and fell across the trees, creating long eire shadows. One of these shadows was that of Toby, as he slowly made his way back to the mansion after another night out, fulfilling his orders. A dripping noise emanated from one of his axes, as he carried it over his shoulder. He approved the great mansion of which he called home, and once there, he slowly creaked open the door, half expecting someone else to be up. The mansion was quiet on a night like this one. He smiled under his mask, and slid himself into the main room of the mansion, and silently closing the door behind himself. He made his way to the stairs, and quietly made his way up them. As he got to the second floor, he made his way to the bathroom at the end of the hall, looking out for various objects that were laying astrewn in the hall, left by some of the untidy occupants of the mansion. He flipped the light switch of the room on and waited for a second as the light fizzed to life. He made his way over to the bath, and turned on the water. This time, he had managed to not get any blood on his person, only on his one axe. So, he knelt next to the bath and stuck the blade under the running water, letting the blood wash off and the blade shine like new again. Once satisfied with his blade, he stood up to go dry it off.

“Looks like someone took their sweet time getting back.” A voice said from the doorway to the bathroom. He had forgotten to shut the door. He sighed and turned around.

“Hey there Jack.” Said Toby in slight exasperation. He took a step over to the rag in the bathroom that was there for the specific purpose of drying various blades. Jack didn't move.

“How did you know it was me?” Toby asked. Jacks empty eyes were starting to unnerve him. One of the few things that could.

“The fourth stair creaks. You forget that.” Jack said with a chuckle.

“Alright, I get it y-you heard me, what do you want?” Toby asked with a little twitch.

“I just wanted to let ya know, you have been summoned. Be in the main room by eight in the morning.” Jack said.

“Oh, alright, thanks for letting me know, Jack” Toby said, giving his axe another once over before being satisfied with the cleanliness of one of his favorite tools.

“Well, goodluck with whatever it is, and goodnight Toby.” Jack said, a light smile on his face.

“Goodnight Jack.” Toby replied, and watched the eyeless man make his way back down the hall and into his room. With a shake of his head, Toby left the bathroom, and made his way into his own room, where he put his axes away, took off his trademark orange goggles and mask and put them on his dresser, and got ready for bed.

Morning came all too soon for Toby. He reluctantly got up and readied himself for what he felt would be a long day. After a quick saunter down to the bathroom for a quick shower, he got dressed and put back on his mask, and his orange goggles, but let them rest on the top of his head. He didn't need them at the moment. He picked up his axes, and sheathed them on his belt. He was sure he would need them today. He readied himself and made his way downstairs and into the main room. None other than Slender Man was waiting for him.

“Goodmorning.” Said the faceless man, without turning around to look at him.

“Goodmorning.” Toby managed to squeak out.

“No need to be afraid of me Toby. You have done nothing wrong, that is not why I have summoned you.” Said the man, turning to him at last.

“Then why have you summoned me today?” Toby asked quietly.

“Well Toby, today it is nothing of great importance. Yet it is important all the same. You wont be needing your current attire.” The man responded, much to Toby’s dismay.

“What I need today is for you to go down to the nearest town and make a supply run. I understand that this is usually the job of Tim, but as you may or may not know, almost everyone is out on an assignment. The only one's left are you and Jack.” Slender Man said to his proxy.

“Well then, why not send h-him?” Toby asked with a twitch.

“We both know what happened last time.” Slender man said a little exasperated.

“Oh right, the incident.” Toby said, remembering what had happened.

“That is why I need you to go. Please be back by dark, and don't call attention to yourself.” Slender Man replied as he all of a sudden teleported away, leaving Toby to his own devices.

Toby turned and made his way back up the stairs and back into his room. now he had to find the proper attire to be amongst the other people of the world. As he searched his wardrobe, he realized something. The closest town, the one he was to go to, was the one where he had once lived before everything that made him who he was today happened. He thought of his mother. He paused his riffling of his drawers for a moment. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he went back to searching for ‘normal’ clothes. He finally settled on a dark green shirt, black jeans, and brown hiking boots. He found an old rucksack that was quite large enough to carry what was needed for the place. Before exiting his room, he picked a small knife up from next to his axes. He didnt want to go out without anything, so he slid it into his boot. He made his way out of his room, and down the stairs into the main room, where he saw Jack sitting in one of the grand chairs.

“Hey there Jack.” Toby said cautiously.

“Hey Toby.” Jack said quietly.

“You ok?” Toby asked hesitantly.

“As fine as I can be, missing my eyesight and all...” Jack replied.

“Chin up, friend. Look at where your at now!” Toby said, trying to get Jack’s spirits up.

“I guess you're right, where are you off to?” Jack said.

“Supply run...” Toby said cautiously.

“Bring me some kidneys?” Jack said hopefully.

“No, thats not the kind of supplies i'm getting Jack.” Toby said with a slight chuckle.

“Alright, have fun.” Jack replied in a dejected tone and waved his hand.

With a half smile at his friend, Toby left the mansion. It was a wonderful day, the clouds that had threatened the day before had dispersed, and the sun shone through. The sounds of wildlife filled Toby’s ears and lifted his spirits. He trudged on at a good pace through the thick of the woods, lost in thought. A crack of a branch to his right caught his attention and he stopped dead in his tracks. He narrowed his eyes and scanned the area. A small rabbit appeared from behind a bush. With a suspicious look at the bush, he decided it was best to trudge on. So he did. Within about an hours time, he was at the edge of the woods. He looked out at the calm, sleepy town. With a quick glance, he assured that no one was around, he straightened himself, and walked out onto the street. He walked down the street, and to the first intersection. He took a left. If he followed the street, it should take him straight to the grocery store. Fifteen minutes later, he was in the grocery store. He picked up some basic things, orange juice, waffles, apples, tea, coffee, cereal, waffles, canned veggies, canned fruit, chips, and waffles. When he was satisfied with what he had picked out, he turned around to go checkout, almost running over a woman standing behind him.

“Im sorry.” Toby mumbled looking down and making his way around the woman who just stood there, frozen.

“Its fine.” The woman replied in a hushed tone.

After checking out, he continued on the his next stop, a pharmacy. He picked out some bandages, various medications, and other various first aid items. He headed to the checkout. He patiently waited in line and checked out with his stuff. He looked around himself, only to catch the gaze of who he thought was the same person who he had run into at the grocery story. He quickly looked away and ran a hand through his hair. After he was done in the pharmacy, he was glad to be able to make his way to the edge of town. With a quick glance around, he confirmed that no one was following him, and slipped into the dark forest. A snapping of a branch nearby caught his attention. He froze for a second, trying to figure out where the sound had come from. He slid his hand down to his boot and pulled the knife out. Holding it close to him, he began to trudge away, with his heavy pack of supplies on his shoulders. Half an hour passed. He was nearly home, but yet paranoid as ever. Every rustling sound made him jump, adding to his twitching. He heard a particularly loud crackling of leaves and froze. A shadow dropped down onto him from the trees above, knocking the wind out of him, and his knife out of his hand. His vision blurred for a second. When his vision was back, he saw that he was pinned underneath whoever it was. He looked up and saw a sharp knife in his face. He eyes continued on beyond the knife to see it was a girl who had ambushed him. He didnt recognized her.

“I just need supplies, thats all.” The girl hissed in a low tone, and flicked her brown hair out of her eyes.

Thats when he saw it. One of her eyes had been replaced with a clock, and a smile stiched into her face.
